45 & 518 Discount Tire

So, those of you who have been on here a long time should remember when I made a thread talking about a horrible experience I had with Discount Tire..

well I've pretty much had shimmy problems every time I rotated my tires, and have been experiencing some bad tire wear.

So today I went in to get them rotated & balanced. I made a uturn onto the 45 feeder to make a test drive. and perfect, at 55, where I would get a really bad shimmy I don't any more. It feels like a new truck again.

Now all I need, is for my damn sub box to come in!!

Whew! Glad they got you hooked up right this time. Tires cost too much to get eaten by normal driving......

Yeah, I won that raffle the second time around. Gave him the info a few days after that and still waiting for it..
I haven't been trying to bug him too much since I'm practically getting it done for free but damn I"m getting impatient.

He's located in alma, georgia and said he shipped it Thursday via priority mail. Last night he gave me a delivery confirmation #, but when I checked, it said there was no record of the item. Don't know if he typed it in wrong or what..USPS site says priority mail takes 2-3 days to deliver

Did you ask them what they did differently to get you "shimmy-less?" It'd be interesting to know if it's just special touch by special tech or special tool.
Ok @ box....USPS doesn't have such a great tracking system but they'll get it there on time.

Yup, I saw the same store manager there, but other than that guy a whole bunch of new faces.
Also while I was there, I met a new white crewmax Tundra owner, he was looking for wheels and told him that black XD monsters look sick on white tundras. The guy said thanks and I mentioned the site briefly, but he didn't seem too interested, I would of given him a card if I had some.

No, but I sure did give them a big thanks. One thing different today was that they were ALOT quieter/slower so it was fast and were able to take there time...Yeah, I now that USPS doesn't have a great tracking system, but it still could tell me the simple things like delivered.
