Why I Don't Use Facebook

I know most of you think I'm crazy or delusional for not having a Facebook account, but this is exactly the reason why I never mention my employer or client name even on this site. You are being watched and the simplest thing can turn into so much more. Check out the story:

Lots of people have been fired for posting stuff about their work on Facebook and Myspace. If people from work can see your posts then don't post bad stuff.

That's not the first time. You can lose a job before you're even hired over those things. That's why I'm careful about what pictures are on there and other things.

I just don't see the point of collecting so-called friends and posting every little detail of life online. Whoever needs to keep in touch knows how to find me and I can get myself in enough trouble saying what I feel like in person.

well, there are privacy settings that you can adjust so only your friends can see the things you post. also, facebook isn't so much for collecting friends, that was more of a myspace thing. i think facebook is more a way to connect to actual real life friends, acquaintences, and long lost friends, etc. I dunno, its fun too! Just my 2 cents..
